Using imaging modalities such as MRI or CT, a series of 2D images of the patient's anatomy are taken that form a precise 3D picture.  The images are then used to create a customized surgical plan for each patient.  After careful review and approval of the surgical plan by the operating surgeon, the single-use personalized instruments for use during surgery are manufactured in our CA facility and shipped to the surgical facility.  The entire process takes less than 2 weeks from the scan appointment to surgery date. 


The accurate, direct and highly personalized joint replacement surgery provided by Unik Orthopedics leaves less room for error, requires fewer instruments and surgical steps, is often quicker and more efficient than traditional instruments.  

In most cases, your insurance covers the cost of personalized joint replacement surgery.  Please contact your doctor to determine if your insurance covers the cost.
